About Veeta.

Veeta is a web designer and developer based in Wānaka, New Zealand, building websites with a handcrafted feel, merging a love of functional technology with raw and organic aesthetics.

I was raised by two generations of Ukrainian, Soviet-trained artists, so composition was baked into me early. The rest was self-taught: microsites, digital collages, experimenting with photography and editing, long before I understood grids or the rules that shape good design. My naivety became an advantage: experimenting instinctively, wabi-sabi style, following curiosity over convention, which underpins my aesthetic today.

Later came fashion design, interning at a crypto startup, then a full-stack engineering qualification. My path is non-linear on paper, but having multiple areas of expertise gives me broader depth in what I can create and execute. Fashion taught me softness and working with my hands, engineering taught me structure, and my work lies in a space where both worlds intersect in perfect harmony.

Underneath the hood of every project is considered architecture, scalable systems, and thoughtful implementation. The cherry on top is aesthetics: texture, movement, and restraint, with small imperfections that make a digital experience feel handcrafted and unique.

Today I build for sectors that carry cultural weight: lifestyle, fashion, food, beauty, architecture, the places where aesthetics are central. The goal isn't to launch a website, but to create a considered digital experience that keeps serving the people behind it long after launch.
